Tandjent Digital Distribution and the Future

The landscape of the music industry has changed drastically in the years since the Tandjent album was released. Digital distribution is really where it's at these days. Is it the death of the CD? Possibly. Future Tandjent releases will most definitely be digital but quality must be first and foremost, of course. I recently created a Tandjent page over at bandcamp.com because of the total freedom they give the artist for pricing and distribution and the option for the buyer to download any quality they want all the way up to lossless FLAC. What an amazing opportunity. The album is available for download for all to name their own price.

It's hard to believe it's been 4 years since No One Will Hear Us was released. We've had a great amount of support from all around the world and have sold an amazing amount of CDs for being a complete enigma of a band. There have been skeletons of new songs created over the last couple years and we may well be serving up some new Tandjent material in the future. It is uncertain if there will be another actual physical CD created or if the songs will just be digital downloads. If you haven't purchased the CD yet, we just lowered the price considerably. One of the largest rock radio shows in Sweden played "Gasoline Finger" on October 6. Many thanks to Håkan Persson of P3 Rock Radio for helping support independent music! Why can't American radio stations be that cool??

We received the first pressings of our album on Friday the 9th (a few days later than expected). The packaging for the CDs and the posters turned out really great! We couldn't be happier with them. Tonight's QC Rockers show turned out great. Human Antidote was played in its entirety and the instrumental track No One Will Hear Us was played in the background later on in the show. Thanks to CJ again for giving us a really nice plug. Keep in mind that it is obviously mediocre radio quality and recorded from a not so good stereo.
