hehe
the word is "cherish", just so you know ;)
i also met them, at ozzfest. they signed my ticket stub. extremely laid back fellows, very grateful for the support all the fans give them.
and yeah man, i dig nothing, i think it's their best work. which says something when you consider their past work!

i will never ask any musician to sign my stuff again..
i just hate bothering people..
come on u know after a while that shit gets old.
:D
it just kind of seems pointless to have people sign things..
but thats just me ya know..
but i really dont get it...
i look at them as reallly good musicans...
i look at timdog as a very good musican too should i have him sign something for me (like my tits or my penis) hhehhaahhahaa...)
i guess its just more important for me to remember it then to have shit lying around in my house or something.
i dont know i just dont get it..

Sometimes they (musicians) really appreciate it. It shows them that someone is reallyinto what they are doing. Sometimes, they are assholes about it.

i totally agree; it just seems so silly. "sign this dude!" why? a picture, OK, that makes sense to me.
but at the time, I was so shocked to actually meet the band-i was standing in the autograph line just on a whim, not really thinking anything would come of it-that when i was in front of them i totally blanked and couldn't think of a thing! so obviously, the first thing that came out of my mouth was "duhhhhh...fredrik...could you sign this man...duh..." i don't even remember exactly what i told them. for 5 minutes i babbled and said "fuck" a lot :D

heh...yeah, i have to admit, there was some of that. it all happened so fast though, i remember thinking "damn! that was quick"
what do you mean by anger, though? they didn't seem angry...a little freaked out, maybe...i have heard marten say that audiences in america tend to be crazier than those in europe; maybe he was referring to wild moshing, but at the time i thought yeah, americans never get to see meshuggah, so the individual reaction might be somewhat CP.

I love it when people tell them what THEY should be doing...
i.e. "You guys should be playing Corridor of Cameleons!... That IS Meshuggah!" hahah..

Haha, yeah. It must be really weird having people come up to you and tell you what you should be doing, or what is true Meshuggah lol.
It's really weird everytime I have met a band I really like, because I don't want to see like a gushing idiot (anyone remember the Pantera fan in "Watch it go"?), but then again I really want to let them know that I dig their stuff. I'd say I would have a hard time keeping cool around Meshuggah especially if I was drinking. I would probably scare the shit out of them.
(In Wayne's World esq fashion)
Dino: "Man, I love you guys."
Mesh: "Eh yeah, thanks man."
Dino: "No man, seriously, like I LOVE you guys."
Mesh: "Security!"

I would love to meet them and talk to them on a musician to musician basis. I think that is the best way to interact with bands. Cauase that way, All bands like talking about their influences and how they cam up with Riff A or what was going through their minds when they wrote the lyrics. Or what kind of equipment they use. If they see that you can understand where their coming from on the same level, it's much easier to bond with them. Unfortunatly, I was unable to meet them. If I did I would have some much to talk to them about. I'd have about 100 questions concerning each albulm, and an extra 100 on just about them as people and their lives.
I dunno, hopefully I'll get my chance when the play with Tool on HALLOWEEN!!!!
YEAH, BABY!!!!!!!!!!!! hehehe
