I have only recently got into the music theory and technical side of things. All thought i have always played odd times and stuff and i prolly play polyrhythms but i cant define them as im doing them. would anyone be able to share some polyrhythms with me and how to identify them?(ima drummer by the way)

Well, this is the explaination that I interpreted from the explanation cheesefish gave me a while ago (i hope it didnt get manipulated in the process...)
A polyrythm for example, is when you would play like 5 notes in the space of 3 beats or some shit like that.
and Polymetrics is when you play in different time signatures. Like the drums would play 3 bars of 5/4, and the guitars would play 5 bars of 3/4, so it loops every 15 beats.
Also you could have the drums play 3 bars of 4/4 (12 beats) and the guitars would play 1 bar of 5 and 1 bar of 7 (12 beats)
I dont know if they are proper definitions (or if you even understand my dribble!) but thats my understanding of them. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

To say that Vai wrote the book on polyrhythms, would be actually true .

Do drugs. Also, I heard criminal acts or senseless violence add to your persona thereby adding to your musical style. Hey, whatever works, right?

BTW, can it be an opposite, like 4 notes and 8 beats or would that not work?

Here is the best way I could tell you. There are UN-even rythyms. In a normal song you have sometihng like this
Da De Da De Da De Da De Da De Da De
This is one of many polyrythmic ways
Da Da De Da De De Da De De De Da Da De
Its just wierd shit. Uneven rythems.
