Cables from Amp to Cab...

I heard that i must use heavy gauge unshielded cables from my Amp to the cabinet?

Can someone explain why? .. :|

ya speaker cables not a normal guitar lead or anything....the main reason i think is to remove any electric mains hum which you can get with a normal lead....dunno if there are any other reasons.

hey, the signal that goes from the amp to the speakers has a very low impedance and an a very high gain, therefore you shouldnt use a shielded cable, that is ment to be used with high impedance & low gain signals (guitar pickups).
If you do so, you'll have a significant tone degradation among other problems.
Anyway.... something like that.
